Sr. Design Lead, BrandingBusiness, May 2014 - April 2017
Played an integral role in the strategic development of all branding and design aspects for clients. Directed and developed creative solutions at all levels, from concept to final art, for B-to-B brands. My area of concentration included the development and design of brand expressions and guidelines, print collateral, web and mobile marketing direction and design, tradeshow event graphics, photo and video direction and brand launch-related efforts.

Clients included: AER Technologies, Ambra Health, AllCare Health, Axiall, BFS Capital, Clear-Com, Cuttlefish, First American, First California Bank, GBS linens, Hitachi Consulting, Metcal, Nihon Kohden, St. Augustine Gold & Copper

Highlight: My design direction played a key role in First American’s selection as a two-time “Fortune’s top 100 Companies To Work For” through the development of key selection process materials including the production of a large format, 116-page “About Us” hard-bound book, two videos and the branding of key human resources department communications both print and web-based.

Freelance Sr. Art Director/Designer, May 2010 - May 2014
Worked as a hired-gun to develop creative at all levels, from concept, brand and strategy development through final art for both interactive and print-related projects.

Clients included: ABM, Baker Equipment, Children’s National Hospital, Hill Phoenix, Hitatchi Consulting, MARS Air Systems, Nihon Kohden, Peer 1, PIP, Sir Speedy, Davey’s Locker and project work for Honda, Toyota, KIA and other local and national brands

Senior Art Director, Atomic Curve, 2001 - May 2010
Responsibilities included: developing creative concepts, strategies and providing key creative account direction, developing and coordinating web-based/interactive projects, planning and participating in pitching new accounts, bringing in new business, collaborating with and directing a team of designers, copywriters, account and production staff, art directing photo shoots, recruiting and hiring both permanent and freelance staff and handling day-to-day production as needed.

Clients included: Boy Scouts of America, Capitol Pacific Homes, Experian, First American, Health Research Association, IHOP, Oakwood Corporate Housing, PIP, Quicksilver, Sir Speedy and The Irvine Company

Highlight: I was a key team member in designing all aspects of and launching an online marketing development tool called “BrandDoozie” - a Flash-based tool for small business owners who want to create marketing materials without hiring designers.

Assistant Creative Director, Kelston International, 2000 - 2001
Responsibilities included: Managing creative staff, art direction and design of national and regional client marketing materials. Creative lead for national and international client accounts, producing highly creative and impactful B-to-C marketing materials.

Clients included: Burger King, Carl’s Jr., Century Theaters, Coca-Cola Fountain & Bottle, Denny’s, Disney, Edwards Theaters, GT Bicycles, Hardee’s, Jack in the Box, Serfas and 7-Eleven

Ran my own creative shop where I successfully pitched and acquired new business, handled client relations, provided project coordination, creative direction and production for all aspects of my clients’ projects.

Clients included: Fax Masters, 2D Imaging, Fluor Daniel, Shimano North America Fishing, as well as projects with numerous local agencies
